GTI Spring Festival 2008

The NAS Events organised Spring Festival at Santa Pod, is now a stalwart of the watercooled VW Show season, 2008 seeing Brian Burrows and Brett Hawksbee put on yet another top quality show for all comers. With consistently excellent weather for the last two years it was inevitable that April showers were going to kick in this year. So as we headed northbound up the M1 on Sunday, April 13th, the VW gods were obviously tucked up in the garage working on their Mk1 Golf's, as rain teemed down and threatened almost zero track time. Somehow we battled through with our brollies and managed to bag a few pictures along the way. Here they are for your enjoyment... The next GTI Festival is the big one, so get to Santa Pod for the GTI Summer Festival on July 6th. Team Goof+

GOLF+ SEPTEMBER 2008-08-12

The UK's Grounded Crew graces our hallowed cover once more with Jason Buckley's stunning 2.0L 16V Mk1 taking pride of place. The ride actually has its historical roots connected well back to GOLF+ in the day, so it was our pleasure to pay homage to on of the finer UK Mk1 to hit the scene this year. Top stuff Jason!

Also inside, we pay tribute to one of the great Mk2s of the modern Dub era - Simon Sweetland's gem of a car, not unfortunately parted put and 'moved on over to the other side'. With his next awesome project to come, be check out his beloved Mk2 in the meantime, one last time.
