The Vice is the latest design to come from UK wheel house Calibre. It’s unashamedly retro in appearance and it looks great.

The Vice uses pseudo split-rim detailing and deeply-lacquered diamond polishing to present a design that will suit a massive range of retro and modern day VAG machinery.

Only one colour and PCD is available – gloss black on a 4x100 stud pattern – but the Vice can be bought in either a 7x15in or 7x16in fitment. All Calibre wheels are heat-treated and enjoy class-leading levels of surface protection (in short, they’re built to last).

DOTZ

Mugello is the name of the traditional racetrack north of Florence and one of the venues for the German Touring Car Championship. DOTZ chose this name from the world of motorsport as they thought it was fitting for this incredibly sporty deep dish design.

Darker than an Italian espresso, the Mugello Dark boasts ten Y-spokes and a matt black finish, which will look great on a variety of modern VAG hatches and saloons.

The price below is from wheel stockist Larkspeed for a 16x7in rim, though other fitments right up to 19in are available. Larkspeed also offers some competitive wheel and tyre packages – for four 16x7in Mugellos, plus rubber, they charge £569 (something to think about).

LENSO

Yes, we know what you’re thinking – BBS RS split rims. Whilst this wheel from Lenso isn’t quite the genuine article, we reckon it’s a faithful, not to mention fairly impressive replica, that’s well worth a look.

The BXS features a highly-polished rim with decorative bolts around the edge.

VW Heritage stock these cross-spoke alloys with several different coloured-centres (silver, black and gold) and in a choice of 15in and 16in fitments. They’re also available in a variety of offsets to allow you to achieve the exact look you’re after.

According to the Big Boys Toys team the BSX rim delivers classic good looks at a wallet-friendly price.

WOLFRACE

To mark its 40th anniversary, wheel maker Wolfrace has reintroduced its most famous design – the
Slot Mag.

Wolfrace revolutionised the alloy wheel market back in 1971 when it became the first European company to introduce polished aluminium wheels. The Slot Mag quickly became a must-have for motorists and is just as prized today in retro circles.

This new Slot Mag features the same silver finish on five dished spokes (just like the Seventies original) in size 7.0x15in, which will be available to suit a wide variety of classics thanks to Wolfrace’s generous selection of offsets and its custom drilling service.
