Classic VW owner Andy Openshaw from Bolton scooped VW Heritage’s competition to win a VIP trip to Wolfsburg. As it happens, the father-of-one is, coincidentally, (and it’s no fix!) chairman of the Mk1 Golf Owners Club. He currently owns a last of the line 1983 Mk1 Campaign which he uses for club events, as well as a modified 1989 Mk1 Cabriolet fitted with a non-standard TSR Donington engine. 

Said Andy: “When I had a phonecall from VW Heritage between Christmas and New Year to tell me I’d won, I first thought it was a wind up! I’ve genuinely never won anything before so it was a nice surprise – I can’t wait. Both myself and the missus are really excited about the trip.”
