Jay Mac and Carl Taylor recently announced they're going to stage a nightime show 'n' shine as part of the monthly PREPT meet that takes place at Brands Hatch on August 6th 2008.
With any luck cars such as JD Engineering's Turbo and Supercharged 1.8 20v Mk4 will be there to blow you away. Here's a video to keep you entertained. We spoke with Roy from JD at MIVW recently and he revealed the car is running 510bhp and 480lb/ft using a conventional VW G-lader that blows through a Garrett GT35 Turbo. Expect bigger figures real soon as it's still very much a project in development. Check out the noise:

Brands hatch is to host a very special night-time show ’n’ shine competition on Wednesday, August 6th. Organised by the VW Players boys Carl Taylor and Jay McToldridge, entrants need only pay the usual 2-quid entry to the Track for the usual Prept meet, as this new Players event is otherwise free. With solid backing from Meguiar’s offering cool prize packs, six winners will also receive a bottle of bubbly, too. Judging will take place between 8-9.00pm, with the presentation in the main bar (oh, don’t all act as if you don’t know where that is!) around 10.00pm. “We just wanted to do something a little different and add an extra something to the great Prept turnouts on the last Wednesday of every month,” said Carl. “We hope people can get down there to enjoy the night.”
