JULY 2008

On sale: Wednesday, 28 May 2008

IS THIS THE MOST INNOVATIVE, BRITISH-BUILT MK1 GOLF SINCE DANNY ALLEN'S LANDMARK EXAMPLE?

We'll let you decide if the stunning ride from Hull's Paul Scott - a car 6 years in the making - lives up to its 'boundaries-pushing' claim to fame. But from its way-cool MJ Interiors leather-trimmed baby seat, to its custom laser-cut dash dials and the dash itself, to the glistening 1.9L 8v on 45s in baby's bum smooth bay, to the rare Happich pop-out rear windows - few will argue they're not "learning" something new when they see this long-awaited Dub in GOLF+.

Also, for the power-lovers and tech heads ... heck, and for the style lovers, too, we've potentially the perfect all-rounder: a 500bhp, 4WD VR6 T Corrado that will rip your jocks off. Add in some scoop Worthersee pre-show pics, more home-grown talent in the form of awesome Mk1 Golf dailies from Hull, a saucy Mk5 from Scotland, fantastic Mk2 and Rado double hit from Dub Club, and tasty 8v Mk3 - and this month's issue has something for everyone.

Check out the DemonVW Big Fat Tour of the North review and Club GTI Track day at Donington, too! You'll have a blast...

Stay tuned...

The UK's Grounded Crew graces our hallowed cover once more with Jason Buckley's stunning 2.0L 16V Mk1 taking pride of place. The ride actually has its historical roots connected well back to GOLF+ in the day, so it was our pleasure to pay homage to on of the finer UK Mk1 to hit the scene this year. Top stuff Jason!

Also inside, we pay tribute to one of the great Mk2s of the modern Dub era - Simon Sweetland's gem of a car, not unfortunately parted put and 'moved on over to the other side'. With his next awesome project to come, be check out his beloved Mk2 in the meantime, one last time.
