What’s occurring? I tend to slob out big time over winter, so this January I resolutely promise to spend more time on the bike and less time gorging myself on wine and runny French cheese. In terms of my waistline, I think it’s now or never. Car-wise I am going to take more care of the A6, not let the kids use it as a mobile wheelie bin and maybe get some sexier rims because the 18in Sportlines are now looking decided scruffy...
What’s occurring? I’m useless at New Year’s resolutions. In the past I used to actually do a list and it’d include things like ‘exercise more’, ‘eat less chocolate’ and ‘be nicer to the other half’. I can guarantee that all would have been broken by the end of January. This time though, what immediately springs to mind is ‘play the lottery each week’ so that I can hopefully afford that dream garage of Dubs on that country estate... aim high, that’s what I say!
What’s occurring? I amgoing to give up giving up and carry on regardless as I was before but I am going to keep going to the gym three times a week.
What’s occurring? NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION: To get my project finally finished and start putting in some serious track time. Starting with some track days and mild competition, through some hillclimbs and sprints and finally, if the budget allows, join a regular race series. All this has been in the back of my mind for a few years but 2012 is the year that I will finally start putting it into action!
Name: Phil Weeden As with any resolutions, I fully expect these to be broken by my mate Ben’s birthday on the 8th January! But in 2012, I’d like the Golf to have a respray and some new tyres. Personally, I’d like all the hours I spend at the gym to actually start paying off as I’ve not yet seen a difference in my waistline.
What’s occurring? Aside from all the boring stuff about becoming a slender Jimbo, being more punctual and all the run of the mill rubbish, it’s been five years since I promised to get my long overdue Mk1 Golf back on the road. Could 2012 be the year it WILL happen? I’ve got all the parts I need to make it drive, so work pending, it’ll hopefully be ready as a personal Xmas pressie for 2012.
What’s occurring? My resolutions for 2012 are inner peace, spiritual tranquility, and loads and loads of chocolate cake. Happy holidays...
I liked the sound of last years fitness-based resolutions so I think I’ll just recycle those and try and make a better job of them this time. Plus to be more organised and stop wasting money, unless it’s on something really nice, (hmmm, Bentley rims....)
What’s occurring? To buy a sub-£1000 Mk2 Scirocco as a doer upper. I’m sick of only having a modern VAG hatch to tinker with! |
